Campbell’s Covered Bridge Engagement Session|Landrum, SC|Mary-Beth+Shane

Mary-Beth and Shane went to high school together, but they were in different circles–she was a cheerleader and he was in a band. The way they told the story sounded like it should be a song. Ten years later they reconnected through Facebook, but Mary-Beth called off their first date. She regretted it and made it up to him, and they’ve been together ever since! Shane proposed in Nashville, just when Mary-Beth was hoping he would. He couldn’t get the ring out of his pants, which is a blessing because now they’ll remember the moment they got engaged every time he wears tight pants.

Shane is in the Army and was deployed for several months while he and Mary-Beth were dating. She sent him so many beautiful letters and care packages and even had a whole Pinterest board dedicated to ideas for cute things to send him. He surprised her by coming home earlier than she was expecting, and she was on the news saying “I hate you” at his homecoming. These two are just hilarious and I laughed til my cheeks hurt with them; they definitely love each other, support each other, and have fun together. We’re thankful for their smiles and their service! And don’t they look great in his uniform and her pretty dress?

Like me, Mary-Beth is happy anytime she’s near the water. These two are getting married on Pawley’s Island in October in a cute little chapel that Mary-Beth always knew she’d get married in. I loved hearing about all the little twists and turns in their sweet story and exploring Campbell’s Covered Bridge together {we saw a tiny snake!}

Shane and Mary-Beth, thanks so much for inviting me into this part of your relationship! Tucker and I had fun getting to know you, and we wish you the very best! I hope we can work together again soon!
