I was happy to second shoot a second wedding with Kimberly of Makin’ Pictures, and this is it! Jennifer and Jason are the names; the Saluda River is the place. They got married on a piece of property right on the river, and it was really beautiful and so green.
The day started with a first look. They both cried, and it was so sweet. And Jennifer’s dress was awesome!
Jennifer’s bridesmaids, one of whom is also her daughter, were so pretty in purple, and Powdersville Wren Florist did a lovely job with the bouquets.
Any wedding on the water is a dream for me. The forest was so lush and it was a struggle to keep myself from venturing into the brush and exploring. It was a perfect backdrop for this good looking couple’s portraits.
Doesn’t Jennifer seriously look so beautiful?!
The ceremony overlooked the river. Maybe the coolest thing about this wedding was that Jennifer surprised Jason with BAGPIPES! The bagpiper marched along behind the guests and played beautifully.
Jason danced his way to the altar, and Jennifer’s brother walked her down the aisle.
They had a sweet, traditional ceremony. I love the guest’s excitement as they are introduced as Mr. and Mrs. Noyes!
Kim took some casual portraits of these two as brand new newlyweds, and we all headed to the reception.
It was in the sunniest spot in all the land.
The tables were decorated with white and purple fabrics, potted flowers, and framed photos.
They had an adorable candy table complete with matching purple candy: “love is sweet / take a treat.”
I imagine the photos on the tables must have wonderful stories behind them. There was also a map with pushpins in various locations across the country, and I know Jennifer and Jason have had many great memories throughout their relationship so far. I think I heard they had been together around 14 years! Here’s to many more memories and years to come.
These two are so much fun! The reception was filled with dancing. Their first dance song was Bless the Broken Road, and it was clear that that song meant so much to them. Both of them danced with Jennifer’s brother. Jason and Jennifer’s daughter, especially, shared a love for the dance, and it was so sweet to see them showing off their moves together.
The food was made on site by family–one of the groomsmen changed clothes and went to cook the pork!–and Publix provided the cake.
And The Party Machine provided the music!
Kim, thanks for letting me shoot with you again–I hope to join you for July weddings after baby!
Jason and Jennifer, congratulations! I’m glad I got to be a part of your wedding day. Everyone, be sure to check out Kimberly’s photos from this wedding! She did a great job!
