Longcreek Plantation Birthday Party|Simpsonville, SC|Sprayberry Family

Sullivan’s first year was the fastest year of Megan’s life. After talking to Laronda, she decided the best thing would be to slow down time for the day with a big Mickey Mouse Clubhouse birthday party {and a photographer}. The venue was the cute little neighborhood clubhouse, and it worked out perfectly. Every detail was so fun, and the centerpiece was a sign full of details about Sully as a one year old and pictures of him from each month of his life so far!

Couture Cakes of Greenville provided the cakes–have you ever seen such adorable cupcakes!?

Megan had cute little Mickey-themed signs for all of the snacks, from the hot diggity dog bar to Sullivan’s favorite, cheese toodles. He was willing to share but always needed a second toodle on deck to replace the current one. Sullivan’s little friends enjoyed coloring and playing with play-doh at the activity table, which was only steps away from the popcorn machine!

My favorites from birthday parties are the interactions with guests and the present opening–ones Sullivan will look back on in 20 or 30 years and remember his first wagon and see how the same people who were at the party are also coming to his wedding. He’ll see his mom still looks just as young and beautiful, but maybe by then all these hairstyles or outfits will be outdated and hilarious. He’ll know how very loved he was and is.

Socializing and eating all those cheese puffs wore Sullivan out a bit, so he took a quick nap during presents, the happy birthday song, and the family photos. Let’s hope he doesn’t live that one down anytime soon; his family will have to tell him not to fall asleep every year at least through his 18th birthday party.

Sullivan woke up for cake smash time but wasn’t a big fan of the cake. He was willing to dig in only when a couple of cheese puffs were hidden inside. Even though he was nearly disowned for not liking cake, he had a blast at his first birthday party, and so did all his friends and family!

Megan, you did a fantastic job with Sullivan’s party! It was an honor to be a part of his very FIRST birthday, and I’m so glad you’ll have these memories to look back on for years to come! I can’t wait to work with your family in the future and watch Sullivan grow–hopefully not too fast! Thank you again!

Thanks also to Laronda for sending Megan my way! Hope your sweet family is doing well!
