Backyard Farmhouse Wedding|Taylors, SC|Eric+Emma

She was a server and he was the liquor delivery guy. She held the door open for him and the next day they walked their wiener dog and great dane together on Paris Mountain. Eric proposed at Christmas time and Emma was so surprised and excited that she almost didn’t let him get a word in to ask the question! I’m so happy for this sweet couple’s beginning their new life together–starting with this breezy April wedding on a friend’s beautiful property in Taylors. Bonus: there were chickens there!

Talented friends did Emma’s hair and makeup, and the gorgeous dresses were from David’s Bridal. Emma wore those perfect Lauren Conrad shoes and a blue ring that she always borrows from her mom’s dresser.

Isn’t Emma the most beautiful bride you have ever seen?! Her mom Teresa told me when we met that her favorite thing about Emma was her smile, and it is pure sunshine!! Those flowers were arranged by a friend at Bi-Lo. And check out all that love in the bridal party!

What is it about a suit and a wedding day that turns a man into a natural model? Eric broke out every pose in the book before the ceremony, and he and his groomsmen had the funniest ideas for photos! I imagine he makes Emma laugh all the time!

Guests were welcomed to the ceremony by photos of loved ones who are no longer with Emma and Eric, including Eric’s father. Their memory table was so sweet, and they also had a cute candy bar and a lovely Publix cake. They made sandwiches and snacks for the reception in front of the farmhouse, just steps away from their ceremony under the maple tree.

Emma was super nervous to walk down the aisle, but she made it! Her dad both gave her away and performed the ceremony, and it was so special. He started with a prayer with the mothers, and Eric topped it all off with an adorable dip to go with their first kiss as husband and wife {with his ring on the wrong hand!} Guests started eating while the newlyweds spent some time with their family and wedding party taking photos.

Teresa told me when they showed me the venue that she loved the symbolism of Emma and Eric getting married on top of the tree’s roots–I know this new marriage has strong roots as well and will continue to grow! Smiles, dancing, cake cutting, and beautiful toasts filled the reception. These two are so loved! And they know each other so well: Emma had to smash the cake first because she knew Eric would do it to her.

Emma’s favorite time of day is sunset, so that’s when we snuck away for couple photos near the barn and back under the tree. The lanterns made everything look like a fairy tale, and Eric and Emma were king and queen of the land on this best day ever!

We returned to the party for the garter and bouquet tosses, hugs, and a sparkler exit!

After changing into their getaway clothes, Mr. and Mrs. Frazier signed their marriage license under the twinkly lights and drove away to Asheville for the first leg of their honeymoon {the second was Aruba later in the month!!}

Emma and Eric, thank you so much for inviting me into this incredible day! Enjoy this new adventure together!!
